Set your Ninja Woodfire Grill to Grill on high heat and allow it to preheat for about 10 minutes. Fill the pellet hopper with pellets and press the Woodfire Smoke button (optional).
Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
Toss the pineapple spears in the sugar mixture until they are evenly coated.
Mix the melted butter, honey, and lime juice until well combined in a small bowl and set aside.
Place the pineapple spears on the preheated when the grill is ready. Turn the heat down to medium and grill for about 4 minutes on each side with the lid open, or until the pineapple is caramelized and has nice grill marks.
Brush the buttery lime glaze over the pineapple spears during the last minute or two of cooking, ensuring they are well coated.
Remove the pineapple from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
Chef Jenn's Tips
Choose a ripe pineapple. A ripe pineapple will yield the best flavor. Look for one that has a sweet aroma at the base and a slight give when pressed.
Ensure the pineapple spears are cut evenly to promote even grilling.
Keep an eye on the grill to avoid burning the sugar coating.
Add a splash of rum to the glaze for a tropical twist.
