- Butter one side of each slice of bread and lay it buttered side down on the hot griddle plate.
- Top each slice of bread with half the cheese and half the meat.
- Place drained pickled red onions on half the sandwich.
- Close the lid for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom of the bread is lightly golden brown.
- Fold the sandwich together and close the lid for 1-2 minutes to continue toasting, then flip and toast for another 1-2 minutes to finish toasting the other side.
